About Mary Waldon, LCSW

Mary Waldon, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in psychotherapy for teen girls and adult women. She helps girls and women develop a loving inner voice, as well skills of self-advocacy, emotion-regulation, and mindfulness.  She helps families communicate and connect more effectively to support meaningful, long-term relationships over a lifetime. She works extensively with mother/daughter relationships, helping women and their daughters strengthen communication and connection during the challenging teen years. She also helps fathers understand their key role in daughters developing a strong sense of self and personal empowerment.  


Mary is a graduate of the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration and the clinical social work internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s Stone Institute of Psychiatry and the Outpatient Treatment Center. Mary is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and a graduate of the Psychodynamic Fellowship at the University of Chicago. Mary sees individuals and families in Lake Forest, IL.
